On 22nd November 2024, we hosted historical journalist Vladimir Raevsky.

In his lecture, Raevsky examined the behavioural patterns of the Russian state and society during critical historical moments: a plague epidemic, the surrender of Moscow to Napoleon, and WWII. Drawing on these examples, he explored how Russia historically responds to existential crises and stressed how today’s Russia may once again find itself in similar circumstances.
The event provided a thought-provoking historical perspective on crisis dynamics, encouraging reflection on their relevance to contemporary Russia.
